Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 18, 2026

This page explains what FedGrantFinder collects, why, and what rights you have over it. We try to collect as little as the service needs to work.

Who we are

FedGrantFinder("we", "us") operates fedgrantfinder.com, a search tool for publicly available U.S. federal grant opportunities. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. government. Grant data displayed on the site comes from Grants.gov, a public federal data source.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect the email address and name you provide. Accounts are managed through Supabase Authentication, our identity provider. You can sign in with an email address and password, or with "Continue with Google." If you use Google, we receive your name and email address from your Google profile to create and identify your account — we don't receive your Google password or anything else from your Google account.

Saved grants. When you save a grant, we store the program you saved, any notes you add, and the application stage you set (e.g. "researching," "applying").

Alert subscriptions. If you set up a deadline alert, we store the search criteria you configure — state, eligibility type, category, award range, closing window — along with the name you give the alert and how often you want to be emailed.

Search queries. We log the text of searches run on the site and how many results each one returned. This log is anonymous by design— it does not include your user ID, email, or any other identifier, and we log it the same way whether you're signed in or not. We use it in aggregate to see what people are searching for and where our grant data has gaps, never to profile an individual visitor.

Usage analytics. We use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It gives us aggregate numbers — which pages get visited, roughly how fast the site loads — not a profile tied to you.

How we use this information

  • To create and secure your account, and let you sign in.
  • To provide features you've opted into: saved grants, application-stage tracking, and deadline alert emails.
  • To operate and improve the site — for example, using aggregate, de-identified search logs to find grant categories or states where our data coverage is weak.
  • To respond when you contact us for support.

We do not sell your personal information, ever.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in — a session cookie set by Supabase Authentication when you log in, which we read to recognize your account on later visits. We don't use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or third-party marketing pixels. Vercel Analytics, described above, does not set cookies at all.

Who we share information with

We don't sell or rent your information. We do share it with a small number of service providers who help run the site, each under their own privacy and security terms:

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (account credentials, sessions).
  • Brevo — sends transactional email on our behalf, such as account confirmation messages and deadline alert emails.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and provides the cookieless analytics described above.
  • Google— if you sign in with "Continue with Google," Google shares your name and email address with us to create your account.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the security of the service.

Where grant data comes from

The grant listings on this site are public federal data published by Grants.gov and synced into our database on a nightly schedule. That data describes government funding opportunities — it is not information about you, and browsing or searching it doesn't require an account.

How long we keep information

We keep account information, saved grants, and alert subscriptions for as long as your account is active. Anonymous search logs are kept in aggregate for as long as they're useful for understanding site usage; because they carry no identifier, they can't be tied back to you regardless of how long they're retained.

Your rights

You can review and update your account information at any time from your account page. You can unsave a grant or delete an alert subscription yourself, whenever you like.

To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to delete your account entirely — which also deletes your saved grants and alert subscriptions — email us at support@fedgrantfinder.com. We'll act on deletion requests promptly and confirm once it's done.

Children's privacy

FedGrantFinderis not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

We rely on Supabase for authentication and database security, including encryption in transit and at rest, and we scope database access so that you can only ever see your own saved grants and alerts. No method of storing or transmitting data is 100% secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we collect or use information, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the update.
